Audi, General Mills: Various firms are withdrawing from promoting ads on twitter

 A billion dollar funded company and even the owner is billionaire. After Elon Musk taking charge of Twitter, several big companies like Audi and General Mills have decided to not showing ads on Twitter. In his promise to restore 'free speech' on the platform, the world's richest billionaire and owner of Tesla and SpaceX had also started firing it's employees world-wide.

'We have currently paused paid support on twitter and will continue to evaluate the situation', according to an Audi spokesperson told to DailyMail.com on Thursday. Carmaker Audi and General Mills, the packaged-food titan behind Cheeerios, have joined a growing list of companies halting their ad spending on Twitter in the wake of Elon Musk's takeover.

Twitter owner Elon Musk plan to maximize the financial condition of the Company but in this context he is also loosing its content moderation with several large companies taking a pause on Twitter ads.

Musk Claimed he wanted to buy Twitter for the good of humanity since he believes it is a "digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be dabated in a healthy manner."

According to a report published on CNBC "Advertisers are concerrned about whether content moderation will remain as stringent under Musk - a self-described 'free speech absolutist' - as it has been, and whether staying on Twitter might tarnish their brands. Other big Twitter for advertisers like Warner, Discovery, Coca-Cola and Nestle did not respond to requests for comment about their advertising plans."

1. Automobile: General Motors Co, Audi, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche

2. Food and Beverages: General Mills Inc - the maker of Cheerios, Annie's macaroni and cheese, Betty crocker, Haagen-Dazs, Oreo maker Mondelez International Inc, Carlsberg Group.

3. Others: Leading advertising agency Interpublic Group, Pharmaceutical major Pfizer Inc, Outdoor gear and apparel retailer REI
