Ratan Tata, a member of the prominent Tata family, was educated at Cornell University in architecture and later pursued an MBA from Harvard Business School. His educational background provided him with the technical and business expertise needed to steer Tata Group into diverse sectors, from automobiles to software services.

Leadership of Tata Group

Ratan Tata became the chairman of Tata Sons in 1991, at a time when India was undergoing significant economic reforms. Under his leadership, the Tata Group grew exponentially, expanding globally through key acquisitions, such as Tetley, Corus, and Jaguar Land Rover. These bold moves established Tata Group as a global business powerhouse.
