6. Researchers have developed catalytic droplets that will increase chemical reactions 10 times.

- Researchers at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, have developed catalytic droplets that can increase the speed and efficiency of catalytic reactions by ten times, particularly at low substrate concentrations. This innovation could accelerate drug development and reduce healthcare costs.

- Traditionally, chemists used physical and chemical barriers to confine molecules during reactions, which could slow down these processes. In contrast, the new approach allows for barrier-free confinement of protein-metal nanocomposites within droplets formed by liquid-liquid phase separation. This method enables the molecules to move freely, enhancing catalytic efficiency significantly.

- The findings, published in the journal Nanoscale, suggest a new approach to chemical reactions that could improve industrial processes, including drug manufacturing and energy production, and lead to the development of new technologies utilizing liquid-liquid phase separation.

7. Researchers have found a way to store light for a long time using Potassium atoms

- Researchers have found a way to store light for a long time using Potassium atoms, which can help improve quantum sensors and other technologies. While scientists have often used Rubidium and Cesium, Potassium has been harder to work with.

- Gourab Pal and Dr. Saptarishi Chaudhuri from the QuMix lab at the Raman Research Institute, along with Prof. Subhasish Dutta Gupta, used two laser lights on thermal Potassium atoms to create quantum effects. They focused on a phenomenon called Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT), which changes how light behaves in atomic media.

- The ability to store light in this way could be important for future quantum technologies, including quantum memory and communication. It also offers a method to stabilize laser frequencies without needing expensive equipment, which could be beneficial in various applications.

- The findings were published in Physica Scripta and confirm that certain theoretical models of quantum systems are accurate, even in complex cases like this one with Potassium vapors.
