Human Rights Day 2022

G 20 Sherpa Meeting begins in Udaipur

Image Source: News on Air   First G - 20 Sherpa meeting under India's Presidency begins in Udaipur, Rajasthan on Sunday evening. India's G 20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant is presiding over the meeting. Mr Kant said that India has taken over the Presidency of G 20 amid geo - political crisis, rise in global debt, as many as 200 million driven into poverty and 100 million people losing their jobs globally due to Covid crisis and inflation. Mr Kant also said he would be making a presentation tomorrow enlisting priorities of India. He informed that there are 12 working groups of Sherpa track and Finance track where the secretary from the department of Economic Affairs will also give presentation. Ladakh to become hub for stargazer

  Ladakh To get Telescopes Ladakh soon to have India's first Dark Night Sky Reserve with 18 telescopes installed for stargazing. The installation of these telescopes will be set at Hanley village in Changthang region of Ladakh and will be done at eighteen locations. Hanley is the home for the second-highest optical telescope in the world, established in 2001 by Indian Institute of Astrophysics at an elevation of 4,500 meters.  AIR correspondent reported that Country's prestigious Dark Night Hanley Sky Reserve in Changthang's Hanley shall start soon. Union Territory Ladakh administration has distributed eighteen telescopes to the trained youths of Hanley village. India's coal production increased during Apr to Nov 2022 (New Amendment Made)

If we take it in numbers then it equals production of 524.20 Million Ton (MT) during April - November 2022 as compared to  production of  447.54 MT during the same period of the previous year. As per reported by coal ministry this year during April - November 2022, there is record production and dispatch of coal. Indian Olympic Association is going to get its first women president

PT Usha has been elected unopposed as President of Indian Olympic Association. She was the only one contender and was elected after no other nominations were filed till the deadline on Sunday. The elections were due to be held in the month of December. The 58- year old Usha, a multiple Asian Games medallist and a fourth-place finisher at the 1984 Olympics 400 m hurdles final, filed her nomination papers for the top job yesterday, along with 14 others from her team for the various posts.   The 41st edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) has started at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India on 14th November 2022. Bomb blast in Turkey led to killing of six people and many injured

A sad news coming from Turkey that at least sex people have been killed and 82 injured in an explosion in a busy area of central Istanbul. The name of the place is Istikal street in the Takism Square where blast happened. The blast happened on Istikal street in the Takism Square area yesterday afternoon, November 13.  According to report publish on a web-news portal, Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay said the blast is thought to be a terrorist attack carried out by a woman. Till now no terror origanization has claimed responsibility for the blast so far. Istikal street, one of the city's main arteries which is usually packed with shoppers, was previously targeted by a suicide bomber in 2016.
