Current Affair (15 January 2022): Indian Army Day celebrated on 15 January 2022, Monumental National Flag was Unveiled

Indian Army Day celebrated on 15 January 2022, Monumental National Flag was Unveiled On the occasion of Army Day, on 15 January 22, the Indian Army unveiled a Monumental National Flag of size 225 feet by 150 feet at Jaisalmer Military Station. This flag is a befitting tribute to the Indian heritage, as it is made of hundred percent Khadi material. The hoisting of flag also commemorates the 75th year of India’s Independence being celebrated as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. In an event organised under strict protocols, GOC of the Battle Axe Division unveiled the National Flag amidst select dignitaries who were amongst those present. This National Flag, which is clearly visible from a distance of several kilometers, truly showcases the pride, aspirations and spirit of nationalism of our citizens. Current Affair (15 January 2022): National Startup Awards 2021; National Startup Day will now be celebrated on 16 January

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today announced that January 16 will be celebrated as National Start Up Day. The Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal presented the National Start Up Awards 2021. Shri Goyal said, realising the contribution of Startups towards nation-building, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today announced that January 16 will be celebrated as National Start-up Day, to take the Startup culture to the far flung areas of the country. Shri Goyal said the PM has focused on three sutras (pillars) to strengthen innovation: Liberating entrepreneurs from the web of Govt processes & bureaucratic silos, - over 25,000 compliances reduced, decriminalization of laws, etc, but what more can be done to help businesses grow & prosper in an easier environment? India Meteorological Department commemorates its 147th Foundation Day. Union Minister of State (Independent charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the 147th Foundation Day of India Meteorological Department. He said "said that India has taken a lead in Asian Continent to provide Weather and Climate services to South Asian, South-East Asian and Middle East countries". Current Affair (14 January 2022): On National Army Day, Khadi Monumental National Flag is to be displayed

Khadi Monumental National Flag to be displayed at Longewala Tomorrow on Army Day. The Monumental National Flag, which is the world’s largest national flag made of Khadi fabric, will be put to a grand public display along the India – Pakistan Border in Jaisalmer to celebrate “Army Day” on Saturday. The Monumental National Flag will be displayed at Longewala which was the center stage of the historic battle between India and Pakistan in 1971. This will be the 5 th  public display of the National Flag since its unveiling in Leh on 2 nd  October 2021. It was, later on, displayed at Hindon Airbase on the occasion of Air Force Day on 8 th  October 2021 and at the Red Fort on 21 st  October 2021, that marked the completion of 100 crore Covid vaccinations in India. Shri Piyush Goyal urges Global Venture Capital Funds to focus on Startups from Tier 2 and 3 cities. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal has called upon the Global Venture Capital (VC) Funds to focus more on Startups from Tier 2 and 3 cities. Chairing the 4 th  Roundtable with Global Venture Capital Funds, organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Shri Goyal invited the VCs to explore new sectors for investing, promote and protect the intellectual property created by the young Indian entrepreneurs, provide expertise to scale-up and explore greater capital infusion including risk capital. Kala Kumbh organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav reflects the essence of unity in diversity. The National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with Kala Kumbh- artist workshops for painting scrolls measuring approximately 750 metres, representing the tales of valor of unsung heroes of India’s freedom movement. Current Affair (14 January 2022) : Maritime Partnership Exercise

Maritime Partnership Exercise has been conducted between the ships of Indian Navy and Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) Two Indian Naval Ships Shivalik and Kadmatt and two ships of Japan Maritime Self - Defence Force (JMSDF) Uraga and Hirado undertook Maritime Partnership Exercise. This Maritime Partnership Exercise was conducted in the Bay of Bengal on 13 January 2022. The ships of  JMSDF are part of Minesweeper Division One and are on deployment to Indian Ocean Region with Captain Noguchi Yasushi, Commander Minesweeper Division One embarked onboard JS Uraga.
