1. Atul kumar Goel is going to be new MD and CEO of Punjab National Bank. He is replacing S.S. Mallikarjuna Rao and will take over the role of MD and CEO from February 1 of 2022.
Before joining PNB, he was MD and CEO of UCO Bank.
Atul kumar Geol is also a Director on the Board of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd..
Additionally he is also member of Governing Council of Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).

2. On 27th of December 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Hydropower Projects worth Rs. 11,000 crore in Himachal Pradesh.
PM on his visit to Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, which is also known as "Choti Kashi", inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Hydropower Projects. It will help in Boost the state's economy.
Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Renukaji Dam Project, Luhri stage 1 hydropower project and Dhaulasidh hydropower project.
While he inaugurated the Swara - Kuddu hydropower project.

3.INS khukri, which has been serving Nation for more than 32 years has now been commissioned. The corvette was built by Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilder and commissioned on August 23, 1989.
This missile carrier is no longer in use from December 23rd of 2021.

4. Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi railway station is renamed. The new name for this railway station is Veerangana Laxmibai railway station, after the name of Queen of Jhansi.
This information was provided the CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on his official Twitter handle.

5. Anupam roy is going to be India's new permanent representative at UN conference on Disarmament.
Mr. Roy is 1994 batch Indian Foreign Officer and is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi.
Mr. Roy is expected to take up the assignment shortly and will replace Pankaj Sharma who has been appointed as India's next Ambassador to Mexico.
