 Who is Rishi Sunak?

Rishi Sunak is a British Politician who has served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since October 2022. He is the first British Asian and Hindu Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Sunak was born in Southampton to Parents of Indian descent who migrated to Britain from East Africa in 1960s.

Rishi Sunak Early Life and Education

Sunak was born on 12 May 1980 in Southampton, Hampshire, to African-born Hindu parents of Indian Punjabi descent, Yashvir and Usha Sunak. His grandfathers were born in Punjab province, British India and Migrated from East Africa with their families to the UK in the 1960s. Sunak was in Stroud School, a preparatory school in Romsey, and Winchester College. He was a waiter at a curry house in Southampton during his summer holidays. He studied Philosophy, Politids and Economics at Lincoln College, Oxford, graduating with a first in 2001. In 2006, he gained an MBA from Stanford University, where he was a Fulbright scholar.
