 World famous Lord Venkateswara temple's at Tirupati (Tirumala) net worth is of Rs. 2.5 lakh crore (about USD 30 billion) which is much more than the market capitalisation of IT services firm Wipro, food and beverage company Nestle and state-owned oil gaints ONGC and IOC. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), dedicated to Tirupati's presiding deity, for the first time since it's founding in 1933 declared its net worth which is found to be about 2.5 lakh crore. 


It's assets include 10.25 tonnes of gold deposits in banks, 2.5 tonnes of gold jewellery, about Rs. 16,000 crore of deposits in banks, and 960 properties across India. All these total of over Rs. 2.5 lakh crore. According to a report published in the mint 'TTD's investments in the form of fixed deposits in various banks in 2019 was 13,025 crore, which has now increased to 15,938 crores. In the last three years, the investment increased by 2,900 crores - told b y Mr. Reddy to Mint Publication'. The TTD declared that the present trust board has strengthened its investment guidelines since 2019 and denied social media reports that the TTD chairman and the board had decided to invest surrplus funds in the securities of the Andhra Pradesh Government.

In the press release, TTD said (translated from Telugu): 'Devotees of Srivari are requested not to believe such conspirational false propaganda. Cash and gold deposits made by TTD in various banks are done in a very transparent manner.'

TTD pegged the total worth of its assets at Rs. 2.26 lakh crore, reported Times of India. AV Dharma Reddy, TTD executive officer told the Timesof India that the net worth of the temple trust has gone up to Rs. 2.26 lakh crore. According to bank-wise investment shared by the trust, TTD has 7339.74 tons of gold deposit in 2019 and 2.9 tons were added in the last three years.

The income made by the temple comes form donations by the devotees, businesses and institutions.

Answer: The facility of online reservation and seva tickets can be availed through the website of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in). You can reserve special Entry/Accommodation tickets 90 days from Quota availability =. Seva quota will be released first Friday of every month and pilgrim can book seva tickets after 180 days of booking date.

About Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam

TTD or Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is a conglomeration of temples, brought under the First Schedule 2 of the Act 30 of 1987. The Board of Trustees is constituted by members appointed by the government.
The Executive Officer is the chief executive of TTD.
