Ek gaon me Arunima naam ki ek budhi aurat rahti thi uski umar lag-bhag 70-75 saal hogi uske saath kya pareshani thi ki wo har kuch samay baad baatein bhul jaya karti thi. Uske parivar me koi nhi bacha tha uske pati ki maut ho chuki, uske do bacche they jo kabhi kabhi uske paas usse milne aya karte the lekin usko apne paas nhi rakhte they baaki ka haal chaal uske gaon wale uske bacche tak pahucha diya karte they. Aaj bhi waisa hi din beet rha tha ki ek aadmi usse aa ke kaha ki amma ek kaam hai uske paas jo bahut dino tak kaam ayega.

Us aadmi ka naam tha Suresh usne kaha,"Aaj wo ek vakil ke paas gya tha jo kah rha tha ki use sunne me aya ki uske bacche uska zagir uske naam pe karwana chhah rhe hai wo bhi uske bina jaane." Suresh ne saari baatein apne kaagzi dastawez me bhi likh liya tha, ek vakil hone ke naate wo uska kaam bhi banta tha. Lekin Arunima ki bhulne ke bimari ki wajah se sab bhul gayi. Par ye bimari uske liye vardaan saabit hua. Aruinma ek shaam khet ki or ghumne nikli, tahalte-tahlte use ek  bakri ka baccha dikha jo shayad apni maa ki talash me idhar udhar bhatak rha tha aur uski main-main ki awaz chharo or goonj rahi thi. Arunima ne us bakri ke bacche ko apni god me utha liya aur use pyar karne karne lagi ki shayad wo shaant ho jaye, lekin wo shaant hone ke bajaye wo jyada shor karne laga. Kuch der baad wo use ek gwale se doodh leke pilayi aur wo tab jake thoda shant hua. Wo bakri ka baccha apni maa se bicchad gya tha isliye wo itna shor kar rha tha. 

Agli subah jab Arunima jab uthi tab use kuch yaad nhi tha, ab uske paas ek bakri ka baccha bhi hai use wo bhi yaad nhi raha. Lekin thoda jyada dimaag pe jor dene pe use dhyaan aya ki ek bakri ka baccha use kal shaam me mila tha jise wo apne saath apne ghar le kar aa gayi thi, tab se wo uska poora khayal rakhti thi. Arunima ke aise bahut kisse hai jisme wo kai baar kai chiz bhul chuki thi, ye sab baatein jaante hue bhi uske bacche use apne saath nhi rakhte they jo uske baacho ka nirdayi hone ka praman dete thi. Wo akeli aurat jaisi bhi thi, thi wo dil ki saaf kabhi kisi ke liye koi bair nahi.

Ek din gaon ke seth ke yahan chori ho gayi, wo bechari budhi ko jab is shor ka abhas hua to wo bhi baaki logo ki tarah darr gayi, aur apni khati pakdi rahi. Us chor ki badnasibi dekho us din us bidhiya ke ghar me ghus gya chupne ke liye, budhiya  bechari darr ke maare apni khaitya pakdi rahi lekin kuch der baad use apne ghar me kuch aahat sunai diya aur use shaq ho gya ki chor kahin uske ghar me hi chupne ke liye to nhi ghus gya. Wo is baat se anjaan thi ki uska shaq sahi hai kuch der baad budhiya ko apni rasoi me kuch awaz sunai diya. Budhiy 70-75 saal ki thi wo samajh gyi chor usi ke ghar me hai lekin umar ho jaane ki wajah se use neend aa gayi. Jab subah kawo ne awaz diya to uski neend khul gayi aur raat ki baat bhul gayi ki uske ghar me chor bhi  ghusa hai. Wo apni din charya ka kaam nipta ke jab rasoi ki or gayi to chor achanak se uth pda, budhiya use dekh ke chauk gayi aur shor machane lagi tabhi chor ne usse kaha ki wo bhika insaan hai jo khaane ki talash me uske ghar me ghusa hai. Maasum budhiya ye bhul chuki thi ki abhi pichli raat ko hi uske gaon ke seth ke yahan chori hui hai aur chor uske hi ghar me ghusa hua hai, is baat se anjaan Arunima ne use khana khilaya aur fir uske safar aur parivar ke liye kcun khane ke liye khane ko baandh ke de diya. 

Chor ko us budhi aurat ka swabhav ka bahut asar hua, agale din usne seth ke ghar se chori kiya hua samaan wapas uske ghar me ghar me rakh diya aur iske alawa jaate-jaate usne Arunim ke ghar ke andar bhi itne dhan chhod ke gya ki wo apni baaki ki zindagi aaraam se kaat sakti thi. Chor ko chori ka bura parinam aur acchai ka fal samajh aa gya tha.
